Easy Halloween Treats Frankenstein Cakes

Halloween is so fun for both kids and adults, I love to make fun treats for Halloween parties. But I prefer to make fast and easy treats that will bring a smile to their face but won’t take all day. These Frankenstein Cakes are so simple because you are not cooking anything, instead just decorating. So essentially they are a “craft/treat” my older girls love making them, fun project for tweens/ teens.

Ingredients:

Halloween Food recipes ~ Easy Halloween Frankenstein Cakes (3)Instructions:

  1. Set wax paper on counter or work surface, open other items and set on cookie sheet or in bowls. Unwrap snack cakes.
  2. Melt the semi-sweet chocolate in a bowl according to the package’s instructions.
  3. Start with the hair or brown chocolate. Dip one end of the snack cakes into the semi-sweet chocolates. For Frankenstein, we just dipped the ends. For the Brides of Frankenstein, we dipped about half of the snack cake in the semi-sweet chocolate. You may need a knife to help spread the chocolate.
  4. Set out on wax paper and allow to air dry. The melting wafers harden much faster and are so easy to work with! But if you love the idea of an extra layer of chocolate, the chocolates work just fine too!
  5. Melt the green candy wafers according to package instructions into a bowl.
  6. Once the hair has hardened, you will dip the opposite corner in the green mix.
  7. Using the decorating gel, attach two eyes on each snack.
  8. Dip a Sixlet in the green candy melts and attach the nose on each snack.
  9. Use the decorating gel to create a smile, eye lashes or scar marks on your Frankensteins.
  10. For the Bride of Frankenstein, use a drawing tip or a ribbon tip and make some waves with white frosting on her hair.
